Ibanez have just unveiled a collector's edition of shred king Joe Satriani's storied "Black Dog" electric. The faithful recreation of Satch's legendary late '80s/early '90s axe features the original pot locations and output jack, DiMarzio PAF Pro and Fred pickups and the original Ibanez Edge tremolo system. The Black Dog's finish was apparently "laboriously recreated by hand, one at a time, by just one highly skilled artist,". Photographs of the original Black Dog were taken "to create a sort of 'graphic map'" to replicate Satriani's original drawings. Only 100 Black Dogs will be produced and MSRP is $7,999.99 (special hard case included).
